Anthony Alfred has earned an illustrious career record of communications, marketing, and partnerships success, achieved within the non-profit, public service and private sector.
Anthony's progressive 25+ year career as a senior leader includes results for several charitable and corporate brands including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Bridgestone-Firestone, Rogers Cup tennis championships, Ontario Government, Molson Indy, and Canadian Open golf championships. He served as Vice-President, Marketing for the Ontario Lung Association (2014-2016), Director, Communications and Marketing for ABC Life Literacy Canada (2008-2014) and served as ABC's interim President (2012-2013).
Before his provincial healthcare and national literacy portfolio, Anthony proudly served in the sport development and sports entertainment sector as Director Media and Public Relations for the Royal Canadian Golf Association (2005-2008) and Director of Media and Public Relations representing Tennis Canada (2000-2005).
Anthony holds a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Communications and Political Science from York University. He also studied at the Schulich Executive Education Centre and holds course completion in Financial Accounting and Management.
Anthony makes time to give back to his community in big ways. He has volunteered as a trusted mentor and Board Member in the Big Brothers program (York and Peel) since 2002. He is also an active Community Ambassador in Peel Region and served as Head Coach of Brampton East Soccer Club in the U4-U5 Division.
Anthony and his Son Ashton, broadcast Champs & Chums a popular podcast - FatherSon FunTalk about Sports, Life and Friendship. Since They broadcast monthly and aired their debut episode on October 5, 2019. They have had the pleasure of interviewing a sensational list of Special Guests. Angela began her marketing journey in 2018. She is a graduate of the Sheridan College Pilon School of Business with a Diploma in Advertising and Marketing Communications. A Post Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management rounds out her educational achievement.
Angela has worked in various roles and sectors of marketing. This includes PleaseNotes, Therapedia Centre, and Staples Professional. Her proven experience includes social media campaigns, assisting with corporate events, search engine optimization, public relations, market research, and media outreach.
She joined the Aspire Communications Team in 2021 as a Marketing and Communications Coordinator.
